Introduction  Scholarship on the Archimedes Palimpsest is ongoing, and involves many people. In this section of the website an article by Nigel Wilson of Lincoln College Oxford, gives a report on the progress of the project up until 2004. The article is published and illustrated in The Journal of The Walters Art Museum, volume 62, 2004.
Reviel Netz of Stanford University also gives appraisals of the importance of the Palimpsest to our understanding of The Method, Stomachion, and On Floating Bodies. Jud Herrman of Allegheny College gives a summary of the importance of Hyperides, and the possible importance of the Hyperides texts discovered in the Palimpsest. Also in this section, you will find a bibliography of writings on the Archimedes Palimpsest since it was sold at auction on October 29th 1998.
